Re-employing George Jervis, after found to be involved in corrupt PRACTICES, as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, and sent home on Administrative leave, is HUGE SLAP in the face of ANTI-CORRUPTION CAMPAIGNERS.
The President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana and his government cannot CONDONE any FORM of corruption or CORRUPT PRACTICES.
George Jervis should not be allowed to take up any form of employment, until and after he has been cleared of the issues that are under investigation. It is sending the WRONG MESSAGE to citizens that CORRUPTION can continue, with impunity.
